What is EduFonts?
Here you can find typefaces that are designed for children who are learning to read and write, as well as fonts for Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC). The typefaces are completely free for specific user groups.
In addition to their use in everyday learning, the fonts are also suitable for the design of children’s and school books, websites, learning apps, etc. You can licence the fonts for these commercial purposes.
Who is behind EduFonts?
Hello, I am Anja Meiners and I design typefaces for international companies. For over 10 years, I have been constantly developing the inclusive ABeZeh typeface system in close cooperation with the education industry. ABeZeh literally means “ABeToe” in English, and you can pronounce it “ABZ”. Our children are of nursery and primary school age, which means I am also constantly confronted with the need for well-designed learning fonts in my private life.
I strongly believe that education should be free. Unfortunately, this doesn’t work without investment! For this reason, EduFonts offers a hybrid licensing system: the fonts are free for teachers, pupils, parents, therapists etc. Commercial companies help to maintain this free offer by purchasing a licence. Thank you!
